November 2025 Volunteers of the Month
TUFF Bags Volunteers of the Month for November are the Honorable Edward O'Farrell and Mrs. Mary O'Farrell!
* Judge O'Farrell and Mary have been volunteering with us for 3 years.
* As a National Honor Society advisor at Garaway High School, Mary was looking for a service project for members that would make a direct, positive impact on the lives of others. She says each year her seniors leave TUFF Bags with a greater sense of community and purpose and have such fun packing and tying bags of food. (The couple also regularly volunteer without the students
)
* They say that working together with other volunteers and realizing how many kind and generous people live in our community, and knowing that children benefit greatly by our efforts, are their favorite parts of volunteering with us.
* The O'Farrells believe that it's important to be involved in the community because volunteering provides a sense of accomplishment and pride, and offers the opportunity to meet new people from different backgrounds.
* Their encouragement to anyone who hasn't volunteered with TUFF Bags is how gratifying it is to turn outward from your focus on yourself to the rewards of focusing on others, and that it is a fast paced, fun service project.
